Cédric Maris has joined Lubbers, Boer & Douma as a Junior Associate on 1 October 2025.
He obtained both a master's degree in tax law and a master's degree in criminal law (with honour) from Leiden University. His master's thesis in tax law focused on the business succession scheme in the 1956 Inheritance Tax Act (graded 8). In his criminal law master's thesis, Cédric researched the right to legal privilege in a criminal tax law context (graded 9).
Cédric previously did internships at one of the Big Four firms, a law firm, and the Supreme Court of the Netherlands. From February 1, 2024, to May 2025, he did an internship at LBD. In 2022/2023, he was a board member of the tax study association Pecunia Non Olet in Leiden.
